The new cutting material of gear hobs-SpeedCore
SpeedCore is a newly developed substrate for hobs. Compared with HSS PM hobs, the increased hot hardness of the intermetallic cutting material helps to improve at least 30% on cutting speeds. SpeedCore Hobs with a suitable coating will have top performance on easy implementation and high reliability.
Several advantages of speedcoare application:
1), imporved productivity of up to 70%
2), process reliability ( like HSS-PM)
3), easy to implement, also on older or unstable gear hobbing machines
4), regrinding and coating possible without problems.
