Dimensions of Gear Hobs
The normal dimensions of gear hobs are described as following four sequence: cutter diameter, cutting edge length, total length, and bore diameter. for example, module 8, dia. 125x130/138xdia. 40, however, the specific dimensions of hobs maybe made at different sizes according to the workpiece shape, the cutter arbors and the performance of gear hobbing machines.
